Acknowledging the District’s commitment to utilizing best practices in the acquisition of goods and services, the Round Rock ISD Purchasing Department has been recognized by the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO) as the recipient of the Award of Merit for Purchasing Operations.
The TASBO Award of Merit for Purchasing Operations recognizes school district’s achievement in implementing best practices in the area of purchasing. The department also received the Award of Merit for Purchasing Operations in 2016 and 2017, and in addition, was awarded the Elite Status recognition for large districts last year. The Elite Status recognition is given to the school district that scored the highest points of all district applicants in that category.
“We are so proud of the work of the Purchasing Department and their continued commitment to serving the students and community of Round Rock ISD,” Chief Financial Officer Randy Staats said. “Jamie, Angie and the entire Purchasing Department are outstanding leaders who strive each day to provide our students and teachers with the best resources possible while ensuring our District remains compliant to purchasing laws and responsible to our taxpayers.”
