Blackland Prairie Elementary School Mrs. Brewer’s first grade students and Blackland Prairie worked with Mrs. Rollans and Ms. Brewer to create informational slides about themselves. The students learned so much during the lesson, including taking a picture of themselves using the webcam, inserting it into the slide, adding shapes and writing on them, as well as discussing describing words. Some students proudly told us they wanted to write describing sentences even! The students used what they had learned about fonts the previous week to make their slides look even better. Several figured out how to change the color of the shapes and used it to demonstrate their favorite color. We were so impressed with the creativity and quality of the work. The students can’t wait to show off their work in the hallways for everyone to see.
