First Grade Dive into Weather with Google Slides

Our first-grade students at Blackland Prairie dove headfirst into Google Slides and created a “weather dictionary.” Mrs. Rollans and the teachers covered so many topics, including how to make capital letters, add spaces between words, and find punctuation marks. But that was just the start! The students learned how to insert a picture to support their definition of particular types of weather that they had been studying. Over two days, the students created slides with the weather type, a sentence about what they had learned, and a picture. The teachers and Mrs. Rollans were so impressed with the quality of the work. It was amazing to see the students ask if they could add more slides and keep working on their own. Way to go, first-grade!
