Youth Art Month Exhibition @ Round Rock City Hall

Round Rock ISD Fine Arts is pleased to have student work on exhibition at the Round Rock City Hall in celebration of Youth Art Month.  Youth Art Month (YAM) is an annual observance each March to emphasize the value of art education for all children and to encourage support for quality school art programs. It was created in 1961 by ACMI, a non-profit association of art and craft materials manufacturers, in cooperation with the National Art Education Association (NAEA).  In RRISD, we celebrate Youth Art Month in multiple ways.  During March, many campuses host Gallery Night Exhibitions that showcase the work of students K-12, Elementary Art Faculty host a district-wide student exhibition at the Raymond E. Hartfield Performing Arts Center with a closing reception attended by 700+ parents, student artists and community members.  We also partner with our community to produce this exhibition at city hall.

Student achievement is a top priority in Round Rock ISD, and we are rewarded by the accomplishments of our students daily. Exhibition of work is the final stage for the artist and is their performance for the community.  We hope students, staff, parents and community will take time to stop by the Round Rock City Hall to view the work during the run of this exhibition from March 3-30, 2020.

If you would like to see the work on exhibition, please visit the Round Rock City Hall, 221 E. Main Street Round Rock, Texas 78681.  The Round Rock City Hall is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and closed on the weekends.
