Ballet Folklorico groups from across the district will gather Jan. 22, 2016 for the fourth annual Fiesta Mexicana dinner and show, which celebrates latino culture through dance.

Fiesta Mexicana will be held at the Cedar Ridge High School cafeteria, 2801 Gattis School Road, Round Rock, at 5:45 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6:15 p.m. and the show will begin at 7:15 p.m.

Students from Hernandez Middle School, Round Rock, Cedar Ridge, Stony Point, and McNeil high schools will perform. The Round Rock ISD All District team will also have dancers perform.

The Ballet Folklorico program has grown significantly throughout the years and now hosts more than 200 students, Round Rock ISD Ballet Folklorico sponsor Jose Limon said.

“Fiesta Mexicana is a great place for people to see the culture growing within the district,” Limon said. “The dancers will perform traditional cultural dances that means a lot to some people who did the dances throughout their lives. This is a great opportunity for those people to see what our kids are doing now.”

Tickets for the event are $9, including the show and dinner. For more information and to purchase tickets, contact Jose Limon at (512) 776-5423.
