Band members from across Round Rock ISD will gather October 3 for the District’s 17th Annual Festival of Bands, which showcases the talent of fine arts students at 15 schools.

The event, held at the Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex, will begin at 7 p.m. Marching bands and auxiliaries from Cedar Ridge, McNeil, Round Rock, Stony Point, and Westwood high schools will perform marching performances and lead middle school students in group performances.

Each high school marching band will perform an exhibition music piece with middle schools in its respective feeder pattern. The exhibition bands consist of Canyon Vista, Cedar Valley, Chisholm Trail, Deerpark, Grisham, Hernandez, Hopewell, Ridgeview, and Walsh middle schools.

Tickets will be $7 for adults and $5 for students. Children five years old and younger will be admitted for free. Festival of Bands t-shirts will be on sale at the event and proceeds will support the District’s Individual Music Instruction Program scholarships.

The grand finale will be performed by the Texas State University Marching Band.
