On Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, cheer teams from across the District will gather at Round Rock High School’s Dragon Stadium to perform Fusion, a cheer showcase. All proceeds from the showcase will benefit the Susan C. Brown Memorial Scholarship.

At the showcase, 17 different cheer teams from the District’s five high schools and eleven middle schools will take the field to perform, including routines from the Spirit Team All-Stars of Round Rock (STARR) team and the Round Rock High School competitive team.

Each year the Susan C. Brown Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a Round Rock ISD senior varsity female athlete, who exemplifies leadership, drive and a competitive spirit.

The cost of the showcase is $3.00 per person, payable at the gate. Gates open at 11:30 a.m.

Brown is a former basketball coach and Round Rock ISD administrator. She lost her battle with cancer in 2011.

Brown devoted 25 years serving students, parents, and teachers as a coach, principal and assistant superintendent for Temple and Round Rock ISDs. She was the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resource Services in Round Rock ISD at the time of her passing.
