Round Rock ISD has named Sam Soto the new principal of Bluebonnet Elementary School.

Soto has worked in Round Rock ISD for 10 years and most recently served as Interim Principal at Bluebonnet Elementary since September. He has also worked at the campus as an assistant principal since 2014 and at Caldwell Heights Elementary School and Callison Elementary School as a Dual Language teacher. He has 15 years of experience in education.

“Sam Soto is a strong advocate for all students and believes that every child can succeed,”Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Flores said. I am confident that he will further strengthen relationships with students, staff, and parents while having a positive impact on the Bluebonnet community of achievement.”

Soto earned a Master’s of Educational Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s in Bilingual Education from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. He is also a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago where he received his Bachelor’s in Political Science.

“I am honored to serve the Bluebonnet community as its new principal,” Soto said. “This campus has been my home for the past four years and I look forward to continuing to work with the staff, students, parents and community members to further propel campus achievement and student success.”

Bluebonnet Elementary, located at 1010 Chisholm Valley Drive in Round Rock, serves 375 students in Pre-K through 5th grade.
