Round Rock ISD has named Rebekah Van Ryn the new principal of C.D. Fulkes Middle School.

Van Ryn has 20 years of experience in education and most recently served as the Interim Principal of Murchison Middle School, located in Austin, and as a district administrative supervisor in Austin ISD. She also served in the roles of assistant principal at secondary campuses in both Austin and Pflugerville ISDs, an instructional administrator at Austin High School and as the dean of instruction at Vista Ridge High School in Cedar Park.

“We are excited to have Rebekah Van Ryn join our Round Rock ISD family as the new principal of C.D. Fulkes Middle School,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steve Flores said. “She has a longstanding reputation for outstanding administrative leadership and we are confident that her leadership skills, passion for students and ability to connect with others will serve the C.D. Fulkes community incredibly well.”

Van Ryn earned her Master’s in Educational Administration and Bachelor’s in History from the University of Texas at Austin.

“I am honored for the opportunity to serve the Round Rock ISD community as the C.D. Fulkes Middle School principal,” Van Ryn said. “I look forward to meeting the students, staff, parents and community members of C.D. Fulkes and working together to create the best learning environment possible and help every student find success.”

C.D. Fulkes Middle School, located at 300 W. Anderson Ave. in Round Rock, serves 672 students in sixth through eighth grade.
