Teravista Elementary School unveiled its new logo, in alignment with the school’s status as a Leadership Academy.

The updated logo, colored in blue, white and silver, showcases a tiger, the school’s mascot, layered on a blue ribbon pattern. A banner across the front of the logo says, “The Tigers Leadership Academy.” The new logo also incorporates the Round Rock ISD branding of the graduate profile.

Teravista students, parents and staff worked with Round Rock ISD Graphics Coordinator Zac Colquitt to develop the new logo. Three choices were presented to students, staff and the community. The new logo was ultimately chosen through an online voting process.

“Teravista has always strived to instill leadership qualities in our students,” Teravista Principal Michael Wakefield said. “Updating our logo to reflect that we are a Leadership Academy, was a great way to remind the community of our mission at Teravista.”

Teravista Elementary earned the coveted Lighthouse School designation from the Franklin Covey Institute for their implementation of the Leader in Me program in 2014. The designation as a Lighthouse School indicates a campus is serving as a model for leadership development and implementation of the Leader in Me.

The Leader in Me program is based on the book, “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People,” by Stephen Covey and adapted to transform the school into a place that fosters leadership development.
