Round Rock ISD students from Cedar Valley Middle School and Westwood High School successfully competed at the Texas Science and Engineering Fair (TSEF) and took home some of the top prizes of the competition.

TSEF, operated by the University of Texas at San Antonio College of Sciences, is an annual state science competition for students in sixth through 12th grade. The fair provides an opportunity for discourse among like-minded, high-achieving middle and high school students across Texas, according to TSEF.

The winning students for the state category are listed below with their respective schools and awards:

  • Satvik Dasari, first place in Embedded Systems, Westwood,
  • Armaan Srireddy, second place in Physical Energy,  Canyon Vista,
  • Prabhav Vanguri, third  place in Translational Medical Sciences, Westwood and,
  • Sindhuja Uppuluri, third place in Animal Sciences, Westwood.

The winning students for the senior category are listed below with their respective schools and awards:

  • Sindhuja Uppuluri, first place in Animal Sciences,  Westwood,
  • Michelle Lee, first place in Biochemistry, Westwood,
  • Shoumik Roychowdhury, third place in BioMedical and  Health Sciences, Westwood,
  • Rishob Dasgupta, fourth  place in Behavioral and Social Sciences, Westwood and,
  • Vikas Burugui, fifth place in Cellular and Molecular Biology, Westwood.

The winning students for the junior category are listed below with their respective schools and awards:

  • Anagha Deepak, fifth place in Behavioral and Social Sciences, Cedar Valley and
  • Akriti Mandal, fifth place in Biochemistry, Cedar Valley.
