For the second consecutive year, five campuses from Round Rock ISD have been selected to participate in a two-year campus leadership program designed for principals and campus leadership to focus on and further establish practices for teacher development, individual growth plans, and campus transformation plans.

Leadership teams from Gattis, Forest Creek, and Union Hill elementary schools and Cedar Valley and Pearson Ranch middle schools will experience meaningful professional development and be supported to:

  • Identify and foster teacher leadership in schools.
  • Design essential growth and development opportunities as processes are built for frequent feedback and coaching at the campus level.
  • Cultivate a continuous improvement mindset and a culture of collaboration, innovation and problem-solving at the campus and classroom levels focused on student achievement.

“We are proud to have five more campuses in our District selected to take part in this tremendous opportunity to further develop a culture that aligns with our Leadership Values of including all, investing in growth and inspiring action, but also, focuses on how to best serve our students,” Superintendent Steve Flores, Ph.D. said. “The Holdsworth Center has created an unmatched experience for educators, and I am beyond excited for these campuses and their leadership to join this journey.”

Last year, leadership teams from Herrington, Voigt, Anderson Mill, Joe Lee Johnson, and Cactus Ranch elementary schools were selected to begin the program. At a district level, Round Rock ISD was chosen in 2017 as one of seven public school districts across Texas to be included in the inaugural Premier Leadership Program. Both the Campus Leadership Program and Premier Leadership Program are part of the education leadership development efforts the Holdsworth Leadership Center offers schools and school districts across Texas.

The Holdsworth Center, founded by H-E-B Chairman and CEO Charles Butt, aims to support and develop public school leaders to improve, over time, the quality of education offered to every child in every classroom in Texas.
