Parents of children turning 5 by Sept. 1, 2020, have their first opportunity to enroll their students in Kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year on Wednesday, March 11.

Online pre-registration for Kindergarten opens Monday, March 2. Before visiting the campus with required documentation, parents/guardians of new students will need to create a new student profile and pre-register. Schools will begin accepting student and residency documentation to finalize registration on Wednesday, March 11. Students need not be present to register.

Current Round Rock ISD Pre-Kindergarten students will promote to Kindergarten at their home campus. Pre-K parents need not take any action to register their students for Kindergarten; the District automatically transitions students from Pre-K to Kindergarten. 

Online Pre-Registration: The online pre-registration portal opens on Monday, March 2. If able, parents need to pre-register students before visiting the campus to complete the enrollment process. Wednesday, March 11, marks the first day schools will begin accepting documentation for Kindergarten registration. Campuses can offer support to access the pre-registration portal, if needed.

Parents need to bring the following documents when registering at the campus.Documents for students registering during early enrollment, March 2 – May 27 are due to the campus on or before Wednesday, May 27. All new student registration for the 2020-2021 school year re-opens Monday, July 6.

  • Proof of residence within the District (contract on the house, lease agreement, actual title to the house, current Round Rock ISD tax statement, or current utility bill indicating the address and the adult’s name.)
  • Child’s official birth certificate
  • Child’s immunization record
  • Child’s social security card (Preferred but will not prevent enrollment)
