Hello, You. Our 🤚 is over our ❤️. Thank you for keeping each other safe and healthy.

PARENT REMINDER: On Friday, May 15, parents/guardians were sent a survey asking about your student and family challenges and successes while supporting at-home learning during the COVID-19 school closures.

The survey closes this Friday, May 22, if you haven’t already, please take the survey and add your suggestions and ideas as it applies to each of your children. Your responses are anonymous.

ℹ️ Nurse Notes: Caroline O’Donnell RN, school nurse at Laurel Mountain Elementary School.

Drying your hands is equally important as washing them. Wet/damp hands spread microorganisms, along with causing cracked, dry skin over time, increasing the opportunity for organism entry. Learn Nurse O’Donnell’s tips for hygienic hand drying.

  • The most hygienic method for hand drying is using disposable paper towels. Rubbing with a paper towel removes more microorganism from your hands after washing.
  • When using cloth towels, make sure it dries completely between uses, replace with a clean towel every 2 to 3 days. If someone is sick in the household, give them their own personal towel and wash it separately.
  • Drying your hands on your clothing causes recontamination.
