PTSA Update: 10/7/2019

PTSA is gearing up to hand out grants to our teachers! Last year PTSA gave back $4,300 to Round Rock High School faculty, from ROTC to Culinary Arts to science classes. PTSA’s mission is to make every child’s future a reality, and we award grants to applicants from any department at RRHS. These grants are funded through membership fees, donations, and t-shirt sales.
It’s a great time to join PTSA! Teacher grants are based on our annual income, and PTSA’s income comes from membership fees, t-shirt sales and donations. The Dragon community is proud to say that we are one of the largest PTSAs in the state of Texas, and we want to keep it that way! That support allows us to buy equipment, fund programs and help pay for supplies that directly support our students in their classrooms. When you join, you help fund those efforts. Please join today on our website!

Apply for a PTA/PTSA scholarship now! Texas PTA is accepting applications for $1,000 student scholarships through Nov. 15. Texas PTA will give away $25,000 to students and teachers across Texas in 2019-20! You must be a PTSA member to apply. Learn more here: https://www.txpta.org/scholarships.

When cleaning your student’s closet, please donate your good used clothing to PTSA. PTSA supports the district-wide PTA Clothes Closet, which provides clothing to any RRISD student who shows need. Clothes Closet is always in need of current teen clothing that kids want to wear. Graphic Tees are always in high demand. Watch for clothing drives coming up! Good used or new clothing can be dropped in the front office. Learn more about Clothes Closet here: http://rrisd.council.my-pta.org/Content.asp?PageID=2&ContentIndex=25 Clothes Closet is not income based — any student in need can receive a voucher from any RRISD school nurse. Please share if you know a student who could benefit from this service
