Band members from across Round Rock ISD will gather October 3 for the District’s 17th Annual Festival of Bands, which showcases the talent of fine arts students at 15 schools.
The event, held at the Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex, will begin at 7 p.m. Marching bands and auxiliaries from Cedar Ridge, McNeil, Round Rock, Stony Point, and Westwood high schools will perform marching performances and lead middle school students in group performances.read more

Fifty-three Round Rock ISD students were named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists, following the annual announcement by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
Westwood High School, with 35 semifinalists, led the District in total semifinalists, earning more than any other school in Texas and among the top five in the United States.
Each year, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation selects the highest achieving students for its program. Approximately 16,000 students were selected as semifinalists among 1.5 million students nationwide who completed the Preliminary SAT and National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, according to the organization.read more
