Reid Johnson’s culinary arts students learned how to make pesto gnocchi from a Johnson and Wales University guest chef who also encourage to further their studies at the collegiate level. Students in the culinary arts program use commercially equipped kitchens as their learning laboratory and obtain the necessary skills to become successful in the food service industry.


Video production students in Tish Saliani’s class produce several video projects during class and are involved in writing, producing, directing and acting in their films The class also produces the school’s daily video announcements. Students use JVC HD video cameras and Final Cut Pro editing software in the school’s state-of-the-art Macintosh computer lab.


Cedar Ridge High School’s school store is run by students in Sara Parriott’s business education classes. The store is open various times throughout the day for students to stock up on the school’s latest spirit wear. Students learn valuable skills in all aspects of running a store, including merchandise placement, customer service and accounting skills.
