The Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees renewed the district’s food services management contract with Aramark Education Services at its April 21 regular meeting.
The Board voted to approve the contract renewal for one year, renewable for four one-year terms. Aramark Education Services were selected through a competitive sealed proposal process, which included three food service management companies.
“Providing healthy food for our students is essential to creating a strong learning environment,” Chief Operating Officer Bob Cervi said. “Aramark has been an outstanding partner to RRISD for many years and we look forward to moving forward with our relationship.”
RRISD Food Services serves more than six million meals each year and operates cafeterias at all 52 RRISD campuses, including two central kitchen facilities. All meals are served with options for milk, juice, fruits and vegetables.
“We are honored and excited to continue to serve Round Rock ISD,” Food Services Director Kelly Grones said. “We will work hard to be world-class leaders by providing high quality, healthy school meals, innovative concepts and nutrition programming to the students, parents and staff of our district.”
