Hopewell Middle School 
Students in Mr. Murphy’s Gateway classes are gearing up for an exciting Robot competition featuring six diverse games where teams will compete for top honors in each category. From the thrilling race course to the strategic Robot soccer and the engaging Robot tri-ball grab (reminiscent of hungry-hungry hippos), participants will showcase their skills in a range of challenges. The other game categories include Tug of War, torque drag race, and the Autonomous challenge where coding skills are put to the test in navigating an obstacle course.
These competitions aims to foster engineering thinking among students, providing them with the opportunity to modify or rebuild their robots to meet the challenges presented. Collaboration is key, as participants work together towards achieving their goals.
