Cactus Ranch Elementary School Maker Space Coding Lessons

Cactus Ranch Elementary School 4th and 5th grade students recently participated in a coding lesson during their Maker Space about conditional programming and forever loops. The lesson was part of the CS First program, which provides free, hands-on computer science education to students in grades K-5.

In the lesson, students learned how to use conditional statements to make programs do different things based on different conditions. They also learned how to use forever loops to make programs repeat actions over and over again.

The Cactus Ranch Maker Space is designed to help students develop the computational thinking skills they need to be successful in the 21st century. By learning how to program during Maker Space, students learn how to solve problems, think logically, and be creative.
