Mrs. Spalding’s second graders took advantage of last night’s rain and planted some seeds in their new garden beds. The students planted carrots, peas, green onions, and potatoes. The students compared the different seeds and had great discussions about their observations as they were planting. Mrs. Spalding and Mrs. Esparza’s third grade class are planting a fall garden in the new raised beds donated by the Fern Bluff PTA. The garden beds are located in our courtyard that is currently being refreshed as an outdoor learning environment by our wonderful PTA. Everyone is invited to watch our gardens grow!
