First Technology Lesson of the New School Year!

At the beginning of each school year, all teachers instruct students on Round Rock ISD’s Acceptable Use of Technology. At Teravista, we will continue to educate our students on internet safety and digital citizenship throughout the year.

This week Mrs. Timson, third-grade teacher, had her students join her “Google Classroom”, which is a collaboration tool for teachers and students. She created an online classroom, invited students to join the class, and distributed an assignment. For the first assignment, students were to use an online app, SeeSaw, which is a digital portfolio. Students posted what they learned in math using the following words: Y Axis, X axis, horizontal, vertical, and pictograph as they began the unit on data. This is just the first week. Imagine what all they will accomplish in the weeks to come!
