Joy is a Campus Equity Coordinator for the Office of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion. Her role is to collaborate with campuses across the District and support their work towards improving outcomes for each student. This will be her 9th year in the District, having previously served as a teacher, instructional coach and an assistant principal. Joy is a graduate of Westwood High School.
Joy comes from a military family and lived in Germany when she was younger. The next time you see her, strike up a conversation with her in English…or German!
Outside of work, you’ll find Joy spending time with her family, reading, at the dog park, or just wandering around the Austin area looking for events and experiences that allow her to expand her cultural awareness.
