In February, the Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to create a police department within the District. The newly established Round Rock ISD Police Department functions under four pillars of service. The pillars are safety and security, equity, behavioral health and student advocacy. Using the pillars as a guide, Police Chief Jeffrey Yarbrough says this is a school police department unlike any other in its approach to protecting students and staff.
