Alicia Hill has been named the new principal of Spicewood Elementary School.

Hill has served as the principal of Zilker Elementary School in Austin ISD since 2017. During that time, she created the first Spanish Immersion program in the district and coordinated with outside partners to secure funding for innovative programming and supporting student needs. She has a total of 23 years of experience in education, 14 of those years as a classroom teacher.

“It is a privilege to join the Spicewood Elementary school community, and I am eager to meet the students, staff, and families who have made Spicewood such an extraordinary school,” Hill said.  “I also look forward to beginning our work together as we seek to provide an outstanding educational experience for all Spicewood Panthers.”

Hill earned her Ph.D. and Master’s in Educational Leadership from Texas State University and her Bachelor’s in Science from the University of Texas at Austin.
