Dr. LaShanda Lewis is Round Rock ISD’s Director of Counseling Services. Dr. Lewis held the position as the District’s Coordinator of Counseling Services since 2016 and as a school counselor since 2007.

As the director, Lewis oversees the District’s social and emotional learning, teen parent program, child development centers, and the elementary, middle, and high school counselors. “I’m excited and honored to be able to lead such an amazing group of highly-skilled individuals,” said Lewis. “Each brings a unique skill set and heart for children. The work they do every day truly makes the difference in the lives of our students.”

Lewis is involved in work at the regional and state levels to promote mental health and the work of school counselors. She is the Director of Advocacy for the Lone Star State School Counselor Association, testifying during the Texas Legislative session.

Lewis earned her Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech University, a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from St. Edward’s University, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Nicholls State University.
