On National STEM Day, students from Ridgeview Middle School, Blackland Prairie, Brushy Creek, and Pond Springs Elementary Schools, spanning grades 3 through 6, and members of the Girls Who Game club had the opportunity to explore Dell’s cutting-edge UT Austin Esport Arena and lounge. The Dell event was specially curated for Girls Who Game students to explore the intersection of esports and STEM.

During their visit to the UT Esports Area, the 44 students enjoyed the latest gaming innovations and glimpses into the future of Esports and technology integration. They engaged in collaborative problem-solving with their peers, applied STEM principles, and exhibited their creativity through an interactive Minecraft® build challenge.

Students also had the unique opportunity to listen to panel discussions and participate in roundtables with Team Liquid and Longhorn Gaming athletes and influencers. Team Liquid is a globally recognized Esports organization with an impressive track record in games like League of Legends and Dota 2. The discussion shed light on the vital role of STEM disciplines in various aspects of Esports, ranging from strategy and data analysis to content creation.
