At its regular meeting last night, the Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees elected officers to serve the community for the next year.

Trustees Landrum, Harrison and Markum had submitted to Superintendent Hafedh Azaiez an email stating their willingness to serve.

Each was nominated to one position, and the three were elected by acclamation, meaning there was no debate on the nominations.

Landrum will remain as president, Harrison will continue as vice president and Markum will become secretary, taking on the duties previously held by Trustee Amy Weir.

Also during their meeting, trustees approved the 2024–25 academic calendar.

The board approved what had been called Option 1A. Staff will return Aug. 5, 2024, and the first day of class for students will be Aug. 13, 2024. Learn details of the full 2024–25 academic calendar.
