For the third consecutive year, the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation has designated Round Rock ISD as one of the Best Communities for Music Education for its exceptional dedication to music education.

Only 975 districts in the nation receive the recognition annually.

“Round Rock ISD is fortunate to have a supportive and engaged community championing our fine arts programs!” said Jager Loyde, director of fine arts – music. “Our students’ growth and achievement through our music education programs are among the best in the nation. This national acknowledgment from the NAMM Foundation affirms the work our directors, private instructors, parents, and students put in every day to create one of the best communities in music education!”

At the elementary level, 100% of students participate in music classes every week. Secondary students can choose to participate in band, orchestra, choir, piano and music studies.

To qualify for the NAMM designation, Round Rock ISD had to meet program requirements, funding, instruction, and support for innovative music and community music-making programs.
