Actively involved as a Round Rock ISD volunteer since 2004, Amy Weir has held numerous leadership positions in the PTA organizations at three Round Rock ISD schools: Pond Springs Elementary, Deerpark Middle School, and McNeil High School. She served as PTA president at Deerpark and McNeil. Weir is a 2013 Leadership Round Rock ISD graduate and has served as a committee chair with the Round Rock ISD Council of PTAs. She served on three Round Rock ISD Citizen Bond Committees in 2014, 2017 and 2018.
Weir has also served as a committee chair with the McNeil High School Wrestling Booster Club and has served in numerous local leadership positions with the Girl Scouts of Central Texas and the Boy Scouts of America Capital Area Council.
She received her Bachelor’s of Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991 and her JD from Boston College Law School in 2002. Weir and her husband have been married for 26 years and are the proud parents of five children, ranging in age from 13 to 24. Their four eldest children are graduates of McNeil High School and their youngest is a student at McNeil High School.
