Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student educational records and provides parents and eligible students with access to their education records. The law applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the U.S. Department of Education.

Transcripts

Current & Former Students:

Current and former students must obtain their Transcripts from their Registrar’s Offices at their currently enrolled or last home campus.

To make a request:

  • Pay the $3 per-transcript fee must in advance via cash, check, or money order.
  • Allow 24 to 48 business hours to process the requests
  • Transcripts can be sent electronically if to institutions in Texas.

Diplomas

The Round Rock Independent School District does not reprint diplomas. If as a High School Graduate you did not pick up your original diploma, you can obtain it at your home campus. Diplomas are considered ceremonial documents, not a district record. The high school transcript (academic achievement record-AAR) is the official record of achievement/graduation which can be obtained via the Registrar’s office at your last/home campus.
