Summer Learning Program 2024
Students in grades 5 through 8 who require accelerated instruction based on STAAR scores will be invited to participate. At no cost, participating students will receive a rich hands-on curriculum focused on math and literacy. Students need to bring their District-issued Chromebooks daily.
Free breakfast and lunch are provided daily.

SEL Summer Camp
Open to all incoming 6th Graders!
Skill building, cooperative games and activities.
Come join us for a two day camp focused on building social and emotional skills like resilience, coping strategies, and communication to assist in the exciting transition from elementary to middle school.
Registration available April 22 – May 17, 2024.
Locations & Dates:
Hopewell Middle School: June 3-4 and June 5-6
Deerpark Middle School: June 10-11 and June 12-13
All camps are free of charge and will run from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm with breakfast, lunch, and snacks provided each day.
Middle School Emergent Bilingual Summer Learning for Newcomer Students (rising 6th and 9th grade students)
Current 5th and 8th grade students (rising 6th and 9th graders) who moved to U.S. schools this year and would benefit from language acquisition support are invited to attend this 13 day learning opportunity in July. The course will focus on building vocabulary, increasing understanding of their new school environment, and building social emotional skills. Eligible families will be contacted by their current campus in May, and registration will close on June 7, or once all available spots are filled.
